Blue and White Scrimmage

Tonight was the first time the public was able to see their Aggies! I can tell you it was GREAT! The only problem was the time. I only got to see them play for twenty minutes! To short if you ask me! Following the very short scrimmage the players were giving autographs, it was awsome! I got most of the players signatures, some were a little slower in coming out of the locker room. Namely Jared Quayle and Tyler Newbold. I guess Jared has to take care of the team being the only senior!

In the past it has been the "white" team that has usually "wins". This year on the other hand it was the "blue" team. It is really hard to tell the skill level of the newcomers when they play against our best players. I did notice that we don't need to worry about the futre, we have talent. All we need them to do is work Stews system.

Like any scrimmage it was really scrappy. Lots of hands flying and people falling all over. One time I saw Brady Jardine wack Tyler Newbold right in the eye.

One thing I am worried about this year, is perimeter shooting. Our guys couldn't hit a 3 with pressure on them. However, as soon as they had all day to shoot, they drained them every time.

I am also wondering how we will do on defence. Everyone knows Stew is all about his defence. It is hard to tell in a scrimmage the defence. Hopefully they will be tuff and not foul excesivly (hint hint Tai).

One player that I noticed that really jumped out to me was Tyler Newbold. When ever he would shoot he would jump so high into the air, then shoot. He also had a lot more confidence in his shot.

I sure hope Jared doesn't play like he did to night in the shooting area. He had great assists and rebounds but he didn't shoot as well as I think he is able to.

Pooh Williams is out with a brocken foot, that is hard to see. He is a vital part of our defence. When I would look over at him, he looked like he longed to be out on the court.

I almost forgot to mention Jardine! Holy Cow! He had some great post moves and he still can jump a mile in the air! Very much improved!

I am finishing now, I promise. I think this team has a great chance at being GREAT!

Lets cheer on those Aggies!

Score: Blue: 43 White 33
