It's not how you start the game, it's how you finish it right?? That certiantly was true for the Aggies last night. I was begining to wonder what this team will do this season. There are still alot of unanswered questions that, I for one would like answered.
The game went out of control at the end of the first half, Brady Jardine was on the bench with what could be a broken foot. No confimation yet. And the Aggies were looking for answers. Luckily we went into half time only down two, hopefully able to regroup and get a win.
It didn't look that way in the early goings of half number two, Morgan Grimm was called for his 4th foul with 14 minutes remaining. I was scared. Who would step up and add some enrgy to this team that desperatly needed it!? That answer would come in the form of Jordan Stone, Kiesean Reed, and Steven Thorton. Those three combined brought the crowd back to there feet and the momentum the team needed. I was very impressed by there play. I only hope that they can and will continue to bring that fire power every game.
This is a new team, looking for their own identity. I just hope it doesn't take them too long...I don't think I could handle it! ;)

GAME 2: USU @ Weber State
Basically, Weber is the best team in the state. I don't really know what else to say other than that was an ugly game for the Aggies. Nothing went our way. At least we got within 8 in the game, and din't loose by 18....

GAME 1: USU vs BYU
What a way to start the season?! This is probably the most exciting season opener in all of college basketball. To be honest I didn't know if we were going to get a win. Games like this have so much on the line that anything could happen.
I had so much fun being apart of the Spectrum during a game like that. I didn't get to sit in the Student Section this game because students started camping out 3 days before the game. Heather, didn't really want to do that so she decided to sit this game out. I got to sit next to this awesome family that put up with me so well. I am sure they have never seen a fan like me before. It was great and they loved my passion so that made me feel good. Aggie fans are so great!
I didn't know what to expect with this team and how they would react to such a loud crowd for the first game. I was very impressed with how the handled the noise level. The game was back and forth the entire first half. I was impressed with the toughness of the team when things weren't going so well. Brockieth got two early fouls that could have turned into a nightmare for the Aggies early on in the first half. Luckily the team toughness showed and they kept up the pace of the game. I am very excited to see what this team will do this year. I saw many great things but one that got me the most excited was our tough defense. These Aggies get it. They knew what defense was. When baskets weren't falling they buckled down and defened very very well. Brockieth especially came with the mentality to steal every ball. He took advantage of the Cougar's point guard all night. That kid didn't know what happened.
The crowd was great, the teams on the court were ready to play, and the Spectrum was rockin. That is why I love Aggie basketball. I can't wait to watch as this team writes there own Aggie history this season!

USU vs Adams St
I was sadly not in attendence to this game. I wish I could have been there.
I gather from my listening that the first half was a bit sloppy and kinda scary for the Aggies. The score at half time was 29-29. Adams State beat Utah the last night so the Aggies had to be ready for that.
I am sitll not sure what the game will be like next week when the Aggies host the cougies in the Spectrum. I hope that the vetrans prepare the young guys for the crazyness of the spectrum that is sure to come.
After the game Coach Morrill did say that Jordan Stone will not redshirt this season. He is the biggest player we've got so we need him out there on the court. I can't wait to see him develope.
SCORE: 73-63
