The number one thing all Aggies want to forget about this game is the 25 turnovers in this game. That stat is something no player, coach, or fan wants to see. The beginning of the game was horrendous, it felt like every time we had the ball in our half of the court some how out of know where the ball would be back in the hands of Santa Clara. The team was doing ok on D during the first 10 minutes of the opening half, but Santa Clara was throwing anything towards the basket and it was going in. The Aggies on the other hand, if by miracle we still had the ball to run our sets, the shots would just not fall. It was kinda disheartening for a fan. But as a former player of this sport, the only thing they needed to keep doing was playing smart D and taking shots. Which thankfully they did :D
*Side Note* During the opening minutes of this game SCU was at the line shooting free throws at the basket right in front of Coach Morrill. Well it was the second shot for this player and he missed and SCU got the ball back and made a lay-up. Immediately Coach called a time-out just livid, he was red in the face and yelling. I am pretty sure that anyone in the arena could hear what he said (there was like 10 people watching the game, it looked like a high school gym). I would venture to guess he said something to the effect of "You are 2 feet from the basket with your man on your back in perfect position, you should not miss that rebound!!!!" With probably some choice words. You might ask why I would know that? Well, you see this exact thing happened to me and my Logan JV team once during a game. We totally missed a box out on a free throw and they got the ball and a basket, well Gabe called a time out and chewed us out during the rest of the game. He never let us for get it, he even reminded us the next year! Silently I was amused that the Aggies did the same thing ;)
Ok, back to the game. To me the moment when the game started to change was when this kid came in:
Marcel Davis our true freshman point guard. Up until this game, Marcel hadn't really found his shot yet. Then something happened last night. He was making open jump shots and finishing his layups. It was beautiful. And another thing, he knows how to pass. Holy moly, some of his passes are crazy but make it to the intended hands. Last night, he was a game changer. The future is bright for Aggiedom.
Jarred Shaw. He is probably our early season MVP. He had another great game last night.
Pre-Med, was super quite in the scoring department for most of the game. But he made noise when it counted! His clutch 3 pointer was amazing. Gotta love this guy, he played the entire game.
Alright, I will end there. This post got really long. Haha! In a nutshell, this game looked like it was going to be a 30 point blow out, but turned out to be a solid performance by all Aggies. Now we just need to get a handle on those TOs.

Score: 80-78
Record: 4-1
Up Next: The Aggies head south to Provo for a Wednesday game at YBU.
I only really saw the second half, but it was intense. Those turn-overs were terrible! I really didn't know how they'd pull it out, but it was a good road win for them ags. :)
